It is a limitation imposed by your desire to have one person feed so many. Food is power in Haven to much for people to mega feast and all you get is big titan warrior battles that get tired and then turn them upon new players for kicks.

It is a mistake to undermine the social aspect and how people form their own communities while designing the game. The game is to be designed for the people. If people rely all the work on 1 poor soul, that is how the community works. Nothing will change the human mindset in that regard. I have known and seen many villages that would do the same set-up: miner, hunter, sewer, cooker and the farmer. Guess, who gets the least fun thing to do and has to spend much more time on the game daily. Yeah, developed communities might share farmer accounts and spread the load between themselves, but the general picture is that in majority of villages (small ones with 2-4 people) it's only 1 person who does the farming.
And nah, normally, the noobslaughterfest happens when you do not really have that much in stats. More you progress to the game and play it, less desire you'd have to kill some random nabs. The reasoning might be that it's too boring, nothing to get out of them, low desire to leave redhands, white knighting and etc.
Honestly, I think, at this point, the devs should go full experimental mode and try to test as many scenarios as possible. No-one will get hurt if for some time (the devs should tell until which date the proposal will be tested) everyone will have to spend less time on farming and more - on far more meaningful things to do.
