Mouse wheel or individually clicking each set of high quality seeds requires 10 seconds and something on the order of 8 seconds of UI interaction. It's not great for me. If we could dump all, and select all back into the inventory in one click picking best Q seeds first (incase you dump multiple inventories of seeds into the same container for example), and then autoplant automatically chose highest quality seeds first. That would be tolerable. Some of that UI infrastructure exists in amber at least, dunno how much is vanilla.

However you lose the ability to use buckets without manually loading them (bad unless there's a functional autoloader for all of same type). And I've been hoping for a bucket+sickle combo for harvesting grain fields for a while now.

While we're on the topic of buckets, a take all option would be nice for filling your inventory with seeds.

Now we have a random chance of [-2,+5], right? What about each crop has an "specific day"? Like red onions grows better on days that are multiple of 3, and flax grows better when day mod3 = 2?

So it would be like this:
Bad day : -2;
Normal day : -1;
Good day: 0;

Then apply the random thing, but now going from [0,+5]. This way, if you know about your crops, you can guarantee that it will not decrease AND give some roleplay to it :D.

You can already fix the system.

Seperate your crops into two or more fields and plant them, plants tend to influence the plants that are growing next to them, if you seperate them, you'll get different dice rolls, and on average you'll always get at least one positive roll

Something similar suggested here. Not blown away by the idea.
