Doesn't allow for the benefits that Loftar pointed out though. This was never about whether or not 2d can look nice. It really can.

That is not a sandbox game, so you don't build stuff, etc...it's just an hack and slash kind of MMO.
I was just saying...cause that game made a brave choice to me, just for the art and appereance to simulate a 2D enviroment, when it has all the benefits from 3D, like the jump and even some platform things in a 3D enviroment that looks 2D....I wanted only to point it out to Loftar cause I think it's interesting.
P.S. Of course in a sandbox game 3D is waaaay much better than 2D.....pure 3D with fully functionalities, i mean, like hafen is.

That's what his point was I think. Haven benefits too much from the 3d elements to consider 2d. There's more than one way to do 2d art, but it depends notably on the graphics engine they've built and their art capabilities.

The new texture was extremly UGLY !

I dont know wath is your vision of the art and i dont care , but go be honnest , a NICE 2D is better to my point of view than a shit 3d not wellmade .

I have HARDplay to haven , and i never come back cause of this ugly graphic

Haven & Hearth was your son dude , you try to give him a 3d way , with Salem , you see the result ?!!!! so why you do the same shit on the HOLY SACRED H&H !!!!!!!

Or you could zoom out till your character is the size of as they were in legacy (about 20 pixel in height) - the ugly details will then be so tiny that you simply won't be able to see them at all...

Well, to make this thread more legit, I'd love an extremely low quality option or a buget machine quality level to the graphics settings- as my current machine runs Haven at about 5fps in my homestead area... Sadly I have far more pressing concerns than upgrading my potato of a computer.

And that's using the Amber mod's low graphical settings. Not to say I don't fully enjoy looking at the high quality renders occasionally, but it kills my fps.

New rendering system will come out soon. And that should grant you more fps, if your computer is not too old.

Edit: with "soon" I mean the near future. Some weeks, maybe some months, but not years ... at least I hope.
