I ingame have been doing a animal based worship for rp purposes where i sacrifice hides and leather to the god of the sea who is a great walrus, that way i may be bountiful in my flotsam harvests and find many other boating noobs to recruit

We have for several years had a vision of allowing local spirits to develop, through worship, into various forms of natural demigods. Will happen at some point, I hope.

The first one we should implement is "vulgar scientism" or "enlightenment positivism", and this'd be spot on.

Should these go beyond purely cosmetics (in the sense of tangible interactions with the world) it could be fun if they could be influenced similar to the creature from Black & White (with different forms of worship replacing the slapping and fondling), in the sense that they have a mind of their own that can't be put onto certain tasks directly.
