Completely overhaul tree chopping.

Have some trees be easy and fast to cut, larger/higher yielding trees take longer and possibly even require higher tier tools.

Constitution affects chopping speed of trees.

Possibly make felling a tree a multi-step process.

Remove/change decay hits replenishing mechanic, trees grow seeds daily/weekly depending on species, bark does not grow back.

Possibly have trees gain quality/size over time, growing to 125% or gradual +/- 1-2 etc

FOR FUCKS SAKE GIVE US A LOG STORAGE BUILDING

cheers

Strength and Constitution* I don't imagine some guy swinging an axe like a pansy for like 10minutes and getting a tree down, gotta have some strength behind it fam.

On the flip side, trees should be 2-5x bigger, take 4-10x longer to cut and provide 3-4x more resources.

Why would you want to stockpile logs? Block or board them, stockpile these away and be done with it.

Because I dont believe having logs stay around forever is a good idea for gameplay, ideally they even decay if not place into a log pile.

Can store logs similar to the new granary window. Has a canvas material in building.

Alternatively increase board and block stockpile sizes. Anything to cut down on this

Meh. There is a woodsman's axe. If anything I could get behind the various trees having their own chop timers.
