Stop drinks satiation reset abuse

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Like I said, anyone who is grinding stats would be against it :)
Casual player != inexperienced player.
There are some who know pretty much everything about the game but still play 2hr/day.
So they cant generate 1000 honeybuns a day regardless of skill or knowledge.

Think of conventional MMO games. Power players gets his max level in a week after server start and spends his time getting better gear. Casual player reaches that max level in a year. And the difference between them is just gear and skill which is ok and either can be solved by skill or by inviting another casual player.

Haven is a different story. In 2 years stat grinders get 3-5k stat chars and no matter of knowledge/skill/reasonable amount of friends - killing that powerhous is hardly possible.

So I think its fair to make some kind of 'glass ceiling' to equalize things a little bit. ;)

Anyways unlimited stat raise per day is a bit of unhealthy thing regardless is it accessible to anyone or only to part of players.
For now I just want this to be heard and considered by devs :)

man i dont see why ppl would complain about this when we could be talking about combat some more
 even if shit changed to help the casuals out, they would eventually find something else to whine about.. its a never ending battle and no one can just be happy. regardless of anything a pro has just as much chance in development as a casual depending on your own choices and how many ppl you have to help. its like real life... work as a team and you develop faster, work alone you develop much slower.. why penalize everyone bc lazy hermits dont want to bust ass and receive the same benefits as pros?

You are trying to mix up skill level 'noob/pro' and player activity 'casual/nolifer'.
Regarding noob/pro - whatever the game rules are - pro would win. Starcraft, counterstrike - same starting conditions, same available equipment, money limits, unit limits - it still allows pros to shine and noobs to suffer.

While 'I know how to make 1000 honeybuns and 1000 roasted boars per day. I spend 16 hr/day to make and eath them' is not a 'pro' it's a nolifer thingy.
So nope, I don't want to equalize pros and noobs - it is absolutely impossible be it tictactoe or EVE online.
I propose to equalize skilled casuals and nolifers(and/or botters).

I think the main point of this topic is that the current mechanic is quite bad for the character till the moment the drinks are available, from then on it's irrelevant. Which makes it a bad mechanic.

Basically the same as viewtopic.php?f=48&t=58101 but this topic was made some hours later.

It's both.
1. With drinks satiation system becomes meaningless - as a result we can spam the same food
2. Without drinks satiation slows progress down.

So we can either remove satiations or fix them.
Personally, I like the satiation, I like the soft enforcing to eat different food and do different things in game.

That's why I propose to fix it instead of removing.

Right! a little more!
That's why I propose to leave 3 satiation resets.
Also, it's kinda lore friendly - every ingame morning character 'forgets' most eaten food and is glad to eat it more :)

Not sure how relevant this is, but this gives me the idea that sleeping in a bed should reduce satiations by a bit and satiations should also slowly reset on their own.

I can see where beer is kind of hard to get, and Milk 'might' be tough for a casual player to maintain...

But Wine and Tea are very easy to reach. Wine is a grape farm, an extraction press, a Demijohn, and a barrel. None of these things are particularly expensive.

Tea is a few bushes- you don't even have to plant your own you can dig up and move an existing one if you're REALLY lazy- clay cups , and a Cauldron...

The argument that 'only a large group can maintain drinks' is simply false.

Beer? Sure. Milk? mmmm maybe.

Wine and tea? No a solo player even with very poor combat stats can do wine and tea.
