Once you have, say, 50-100+ INT, that 4x4 study fills REAL quick, so things that require high attention are very much worth using, especially if they give a big lp payoff

The Salem system was just cumbersome at best, and I think most of us here rather than there would agree. While advancing single skills with focused attention is a workable system, it doesn't work with the "points over time" system like here because of the tedium with finding different items. A specialized development system only works when you have xp for actions like the old system that I don't see coming back.

As far as balancing various curios, do you guys have any sort of internal system for calculating curio values? I know that we see the same curios used over and over again because "the best."
