There's less "pro" players that want permadeath than more "newbies" who doesn't want to. You're just minority in that.
While yes, game is less "exciting" when You know, it is HARDER to bring You back to 0, it is still possible with some tenderness in your black hearth.
While no, game is more "enjoyable" that way for bigger player base.
But yet, we are starting to get into griniding loop, but many MMOs suffer from this and players still play.
Reworking a siege system could be a big comeback for "pro" scene here, so why not work together on that, hm?
That way, You will have your permadeath at some point.

so to hell with this idea tbh, it's perfectly fair for people to NOT lose their characters they worked 100s of hours on to some rando team of gankers who just want cheap thrills and something to upload an obnoxious, cringey youtube video about. That kind of permadeath is anti-fun, caters to toxic people in the community who do nothing for it other than make friendly people quit, and just HEAVILY discourages player interaction.
so -1 from me.
nerfing the permadeath aspect of this game has been the best update they've released all year, and possibly tops any from last year too. deal with it.

as long as you are smart and dont carry keys for raiders to take, you should be fine and your base will not get raided, unless ofc they track your scents find your base and break in. Then they sit over your hf and smile. i think that is the objective now though. idk. lol
The seige system is a completely separate POS, one fight at a time I suppose.
In my eyes, you cant end someone. Which use to be in my personal opinion the biggest selling point of HnH.
If you cant kill them, you cant rob them what is the point. Grind Q endlessly? Get 4000 base stats and do nothing with them?
This is literally what pvp has turned to in HnH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4j4Iu8 ... e=youtu.be
10 dudes hitting one dude for half an hour, its ridiculous.
If you are a noob like i was W3 or 4 you get wrekt a couple times and you work you're way up in the world, joining a village then a better one. I dont know, it just seems like the game is taking a turn for the worst. Loosing everything it was built upon.

lol but you can end someone? just think of it as getting a second chance? if you fight someone already having low hhp then you can die iirc. also its not hard to rob someone, just build catapult wait an hour break there walls then boom.

The salt level is out of this world.
I can work with re-working the siege system, I cant work with people crying because they dont want to join a village. What is so wrong with joining a village? Its part of the game, its just as much a part of the game as PvP, its something you have to do, if you dont want to you will surfer the consequences and then YOU will have to deal with it. Permadeath has been a part of this game for YEARS and years. I find most of the points invalid here, "I dont wanna join a village" "permadeath is the reason for discouraging player interaction"...come on. Its by far the most hurtful update put on this game and you would be surprised how many heavily invested players quit because of it.
ArgentRhapsody wrote:uh, straightup permadeath is the main deterrent of real player interaction, besides the autarky of villages. You think normal people are going to risk anything of value that they've worked HOURS on just to play with another person they don't know when it can all be taken away from them in a grand total of 5 minutes tops? No. Never. At best you have little alts running around doing all the dangerous work for people. that's not real player interaction. At least now people can actually PvP and actually play the game without risking hours and hours of work going right down the drain with nothing they can do about it. That was never a fun aspect of the game, and it made PvP much less accessible. It was mostly those hardcore PvPers who liked trolling everyone else who quit, you know. You HAD to be no-life invested to be able to PvP on a consistent basis before, as if you lose your fighter that's literally hours of work down the drain for a few minutes of fun.
