It could still be controlled within reason. If the developers banned anyone caught selling, posting links to sites, etc, the sellers would have to launder their money/items, creating more work for them, raising the price for the buyer, making it less common, etc...
With a reporting system in place it would not add too much extra work for the developers. If these actions were condemned by the community then the community would essentially be able to police itself.
Yeah sure, like already happening with bots/customs clients cheats .... the truth is that people take always the easiest way.
Plus subtokens are part of the game, they can be stolen like any other item, without them people will pay directly the person who give him in game items, that is way worse than subtokens. If you want to spend real money, at least they should go to devs, that's why I'm pro subtokens, otherwise would be a mess.
