FTFY. Botting is always just as easy for the bots. The game will never be too complicated for the code to be hard to write either. This is a bad idea.

Bad idea for the raiders and quest-giver spammers. Instead of jumping cr to cr, people would prefer to travel by feet (since most quest-givers are quite close too).
Not to mention botting the ore (carrying it).

I don't do quests or almost any raiding, really, and I just think it would be an incredible annoyance. No thanks. Doesn't help the game in any way.

not really the rest of us no, plus getting around big villages would be annoying as fuck as well, stop trying to ruin the game.

What? Are you stupid?

You said your idea is bad for people who raid and do quests. I said I don't do neither and I wouldn't like the idea either. Work on your reading comprehension.

Giving a penalty to repeated teleportation would be a good plan, imho, as would removing the binary of being able to teleport the whole way or not at all (it would be nice if one could at least cover a part of the journey, up to the location where exhaustion hits).

One could argue that the TW debuff should apply mainly with longer distances and/or distance covered while on the pclaim/village should get a discount (so short hops on the claim would only have a minuscule effect), in the end the cost should IMHO never be zero. This would also nerf the ability to reset the location to the HF without any limit, which would have the sideeffect of making bots at least a bit harder to write (bonus).

These who found the sarcasm in my last post (the 'into the lake with him' part) may keep it as a memento.

Erm, if you do not do both, then you cannot really evaluate how limiting travel-spam across the crossroads would impact you. As about the reading comprehension, the world does not rotate around you: I was rather referring to the people who were having the advantage over the crossroad travel, additionally to the botting issue. It's not a secret that one can obtain a massive amount of LP, EXP, Kingdom Authority just by jumping from a cr to cr, especially without the permadeath. You would only see the folk around the palisaded quest-givers, rather than actually traveling in between.

Again, for someone who does bot exp, LP, etc., and for someone who doesn't, the mechanic would be annoying, except for the botter it would be annoying for a short while, while he codes a hotfix, and for the player it would be annoying indefinitely. What a shitty idea.
