Aren't you think this idea bad only because require more work for you?
So all ideas that comes to press x to win = good ideas.
And all ideas that balance fixing, removing OP things = bad ideas?

If you bothered to read my first post, you'd find that I don't entirely disagree with your point. 5 seeds is comically low, and makes it so having anything more than a meager field of barley/wheat is enough to produce more baked goods than most have a practical use for. I think even raising it to 15 might be appropriate, but suggesting that it should ever be 50 seeds is retarded.

I know.
But 1 bucket of seeds must be 1 bucket of flour, duh, not a barrel.

It's a video game, it's supposed to be fun. Having to plant 7 squares of wheat to make a single loaf of bread is not fun, it's just tedious for no reason. To this end, not everything has to be realistic. They reduced it in the first place for a reason.

Try replying to what Nooby said.
Diminishing returns is a thing, enough people quit because of tedium as is, why raise gap between botters and casuals intentionally?

So the person without a job who works like a bot but does it manually can feel good about himself?

Try to not oversimplify the situation to the point your sentences make no sense. There is no button X to get stats in hafen, a realistic scenario and real calculations on fep/time/effort would make your thread less pointless.

Recipes should use less flour, seeds should not produce a larger volume of flour than they themselves take up.

i can get behind that. my villages wheat and barley fields are quite small yet more than enough for our needs. the opposite was true in previous worlds, we had massive wheat fields and never enough flour.

its so weird to be drowning in flour like this.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Maybe we could have a 'finer' flour - which would take a special mill, and use more seeds per unit? So people with small claims would have the current flour, and villages would have something else to do with their seeds.

So out of curiosity, I was wondering if there was any math for this. Found something: https://www.quora.com/How-many-square-f ... f-of-bread
1 lb of wheat = roughly 3 cups = roughly 4 cups of flour

Wheat flour has approixmately 33% more volume than the raw grain.

Other grains are likely similar.

And just to note:

For 4 cups of flour you would need to plant roughly 9 square feet.

4c flour ~ 1 loaf bread, so 9sq ft ~ .8 m2
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
