Unique items, weapons, and armor could be a slight solution to Mr.Wonderfuls issues, but I doubt it, hes a real downer on most ideas. If haven ever got large quest chains or actual difficult boss like monsters that could provide rarer components for gear or even completed items themselves then those who have been playing longer would still have an edge over new people who join and are just handed crafted armor. But in the end the edge their armor could provide would not matter if they had no skill.
Constitution could play a roll with stamina drain when doing labor and swimming still.
I have no issues with moving away from stat orientated combat to a more skill based orientated combat.

Any particular reason you have to call me out? Any secondary reason that I became "Mr"?

You've just been posting quite a bit lately and most of its leaning towards negative feedback, which is okay. As for the Mr.Wonderful, its because your name reminds me of the show Shark Tank.

I've thought of this before as well
Just have combat discoveries and attributes but no ua or MC at all. It would make the gear grind a lot more relevant and trade more common.

Personally I would value a fully-optimized deck with 5/5 in the main cards over having slightly higher UA/MC anyways

I like the idea of removing combat stat grind and then relying more heavily on gildings/AC

I really enjoy this idea as well and have mentioned it in the past, but constitution becomes an issue.

could make relevant attacks rely on relevant skills instead of just PURELY the combat stats, making every skill/ability important...
cleave relying on carpentry, Raven's Bite relying on Lore...

Many maneuvers in the game rely heavily on your UA, so the removal of the stat itself and making an even weighting across both fighters would make the entry-level to start pvping much lower

Idk, just sorta neat to consider

In a speech and debate standpoint I wouldn't be called a negative, I would be called an opposition. With feedback there is both points you would agree and disagree with. The "Mr" thing is fine, I just figured it was some sort of strike at me.

If this were to be re-accounted then they would as you said, need to make a sort of counterbalance to new people being combat capable. I mean how realistic would it be for someone fresh spawned to be punching-out mammoths and bears.

"muh unique MMO stat based builds and configurations" stops being relevant from the point where you realize that you potentially have infinite points to spend

I mean they could just give everyone a limited amount of stats that were meant for combat only based on how much your character has done (such as EXP events, credos, quests, discoveries and the whatnot to annoy everyone who thinks of combat alts)

Fratari wrote:While I generally like this idea, there is one major flaw: there is almost no cost to a combat character. A fresh alt that fought some creatures to build up it's deck is just as capable as a character with 10 million LP and FEPs, so fighters become extraordinarily cheap. I prefer the idea of caps over removing combat stats entirely.

The point is that the worth of the "combat character" would now be tied to the gear hes wearing. If you down a fucker and take his hard to craft gear, you took away value from him. Akin to dying.
