Mining is now also lot more dangerous than farming/fishing/hunting, because of the slimes. And mining requires a lot of infrastructure to do. You need high stats, (food from farming and hunting.) and high materials (wood from trees, high trees require water clay soil) and so on.
Late in the world the slimes are not so imposing because we have q300 armor and weapons, and 1k stats. But I expect them to be a lot more trouble in the new world.
Mining becomes a high risk high reward kind of thing which is extremely cool.
Fishing is meh, hunting is defiantly = to mining, you might run into players.
Slimes are only dangerous as they currently have been glitched over and over. so this is not really a vaild point.
They are also very simple to deal with, it's just that you guys go in with full str gear instead of armor. by lv 3-5 you should already have it.
mining requires infrastructure of it's own product. clay and wood for tools. and since clay is now dependent on not survival but Mason they are very easy build a infrastructure in one day. where farming has a lot more infrastructure/time gates and task.
Str of 100+ can be gained in one day.
The miners end up with Curios out the ass and are rich no matter what they do since people always need metal.
Then back to economy terms. Metal rules the markets without needing any other trades goods to do so.
Basiclly my point being is smithing has way to much and should stop being focused on.
Adding stuff to underground sure. but it shouldn't to rely on a smith/miner to get it.
and they defiantly shouldn't be better then crafted curios or they will be botted to fking hell.
