that's literally already the case and it'd be better than the retarded ass hunger system

for a food rework. Making it so that a "high level" food is THE food is not so great.
This kicks out the idea of any other sorta game play and focuses on needed to get >to that game play<.
Also anything to do with energy and food is dumb...#bots

But food defenity needs a rework...

water/ energy is retarded. it honestly needs to not effect food values/ hunger.
I honestly need to clean this post up...I was drunk and rambling how much water/energy was pissing me off as a farmer one night and made a post about it....

Walking to get water while doing farm work, an annoying task.
cutting trees. DRINK MOTHERFKER DRINK!!! (use alts..)
Combat with water. dumb.
anything with water. Other then to drink and live. why?

Resting should be a thing like hungry.

Standing still will regen energy 5% per sec. (up to 100%)
Sitting in a chair will regen 15% per second (up to 150%).
Sleeping will regen 500% in 30min. (up to 1500%).

Modifiers would be thirst & hunger.
Drinking should be change to lasting 30mins (to still have it around...idk)

when entering combat you'll get a debuff "getting weary" this will set you back to 100% (to avoid exploiting).

Only first instance of a food item gives FEPs in a given FEP bar + massively decreased base FEPs & FEP multipliers.

Satiaations resetting every 24h, please no. It would make more sense if eating something would lower the benefit of eating another same while increasing the benefit for eating several other things, balanced to be a zero sum.
IMHO.

I'm fully in agreement that FEPs and energy shouldn't need to coincide. Lots of different ways to do that that have been suggested lately.

Satiation reset would be mostly to encourage variety in spam eating. Noobs could eat 10 pieces of X and not worry about it, but power grinders would want to start varying what they eat per day after 10 pieces of food (numbers out of my ass here). Resetting daily is mostly so you never get the feeling of having fucked yourself for a week.

I worry this would push low quality beginners into spamming basically anything they can find and having little control over their stats. It would be very frustrating, and you'd probably have to rely really heavily on fishing (which unfortunately isn't really that fun due to the opacity of the system). Still one of the more interesting/plausible ideas I'd be willing to tentatively put my weight behind, it would certainly make multi foods less bad because you'd *have* to engage in multi FEPs for everything. But I feel a lot of players would get frustrated with relatively little control over their stats sadly, even if I'd enjoy the system.

They could simply make more pure foods. But yeah, the main reason I want this is that it's effectively a stat cap ;)

stat cap is perfect and maybe table symbel cap needed too - the main problem that tottaly broke hunger system - is symbel with 1% hunger in total

Could have feasting be formally separated from eating.

You only get energy from plain eating food, and you only get FEP from feasting on it.

the FEPS would be coming from the ritual of eating rather than just eating the food.

This is a good compromise and I actually quite like it a lot.

Add decaying satiations (that restore after 1/2 days and passively regenerate) and Lorb's got a new system.

Sounds broken for newly spawned non-alt characters.

If feasting would, absolute best case when exploiting everyting, provide a 50% reduction in hunger generation and a 50% increase in FEP value it would be interesting enough to still do it but no longer that completely overpowered as it currently is.
