I'd rather combat not be about who can get more people to pilot alts. I'd like being able to actually invest in my character, rather than just compete with factories that pump out characters non-stop.

None of those sound fun, at all. Having to log on daily is what makes people quit.

Don't you need to do that with the current system though. Gotta constantly gain stats to stay relevant.

You can already multibox combat.

A stat cap might put more emphasis on it though.

The line of progression would be less on gaining stats overall, but more on getting raw amounts of capped characters.

A stat cap might alleviate the issue a bit, but the big gap would fundamentally it would still be there.

Ideally the stat cap would incentivize equipment stat bonuses, but I haven't seen any evidence that you can get more than ~100 points in any one skill, which i feel isn't enough of a bonus if everyone has 1000 stats

If I grind up my character and quit for a month, I would want my stats to still be there. I don't want to be forced to log-in every day just so I don't lose my progress. Just because stats get higher doesn't mean the people who quit mid-way should be punished even more.

I would LOVE to see evidence of this. If you're in a fight on a character that isn't an alt and being useful, you wouldn't be able to multi-client unless you're running an alt with a horse/boat, scripts, or APM levels that would bring SC2 players to shame.

Trollex does it because he's so hardcore. Who else do you think is playing Skeleton? Everyone else quit xD
And Greathouses is 90% Bubbey, because he's so badass. I heard he also plays all 5 positions in dota AND meepo

We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

The moment people start botting the only part when you actually play the game is gonna be the moment i quit for good.

OP would be right in a normal game, but here what matters is increasing your stats.

Raising numbers is the endgame... not because it puts you in the 1% who can mass produce numbers, but because IT'S SO FUN
