I completely understand about being able to store shit in caves, but i dont know that decay in caves should be a thing. Caves, Especialy the deeper you go" are climate controlled. they stay a steady temp year round. if anything needs to be changed, i'd suggest limiting the buildings you can put in a cave to a mansion at the absolute largest. I see no reason why i should be able to take a pick, and dig out a small area and build a 5 story tower. i'd much rather dig out rooms to use and put my precious containers(like cupboards) there instead of building a huge house to put them in.

Unless cave decay was a seperate entity from outside decay and a claim was able to prevent cupboards from taking hits.

Mine too! But i don't want huge hollowed out area for my village. I want rooms and corridors hewn out of the living rock. Hell, if i could make the different cheeses in a cave without a house, i'd be sans buildings.

I never thought it made sense that you could put cupboards around willy nilly in caves.

Compare someone living in a cave city with dozens of outdoor cupboards to someone living on the surface who has to build exquisite chests to have the same outcome.

i honestly think it should stay the same in regards to cupboards in the mine until we get freeform buildings. If i can spend a week or longer making a massive house to store hundreds of cupboards then i dont mind.
