This guy gets it.

Also it wouldn't be that annoying. Just click and drag area to rake.

Refining the idea:

Weeds slowly make a presence in your fields that if not taken care of have a chance to destroy your crops. Shouldn't be something big.

I wouldn't mind an overgrowth concept but farming sucks.

It's not "too easy", it's just too all encompassing. It's tedium, pure and simple. Why add an extra step? Farming a large village's fields can take up to two hours. That's 2 hours a day for a job usually relegated to one person. 14 hours a week, just to that stupid ass task. Any decay mechanic should trigger on a similar timer to authority. eg. fucking forever.

How about if you don't harvest your crops within a certain time after they have fully grown they will start to decay, lost quality, and eventually disappear

Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Dude weed lmao

Farming shouldn't be difficult or dangerous. To shill my idea from another thread: It should really just take longer and produce more

Something interesting should be added for farming though. Making it more enjoyable in general but also not just plant forget and harvest month later.

When you first start playing Haven farming seems enjoyable, it's sorta relaxing and satisfying when your crops mature, are ready to harvest and have gained in quality ... a year or so down the line and farming is just a tedious chore that takes up way too much time, esp if you have villagers and livestock to feed.

So, a definite 'No' to weeds from me.

A horse drawn plough would make it more interesting and enjoyable. :)

Personally, I wouldn't mind some more crop variety, we have two types of onion but no potatoes, leeks, cabbages or cauliflowers.
Also I like radish ... :)

"bro how do we make this more interesting and enjoyable"

"make it shittier"

Writw up a rework thread like my bee idea if you have real considerations but as it stands, no I don't much care to spend 4 hours a day clearing weeds. Crops irl often, in large fields, bully weeds

@up

Well, herbicides and other chemicals are a thing.

In feudal age people just spent hours on fields. :I

And I get you're upset, but just straight crop decay would be neat. Hard to think that simple wheat is able to survive longer than even anvil in world-start village that decayed n-times over. Your feeling for weeds being shitty is arbitrary though. Yet again, mining is way more tedious and far less rewarding - yet probably more enjoyable. There has to be something to change farming in that way too.
