Public Realm Chat & Loneliness

Maybe the realm chat could be manually deactivated on options menu (but be active by default)? That way newbies still can have a place to ask questions and more advanced players can choose to be isolated from the world.

At least so far I have not seen any discussion on realm chats. If things like "Realm chat?" Are not counted.

only chat i've seen has been on hedgehugs. it's quite active past day or so

It's been far more enjoyable to work out issues or ask quick questions using realm chat rather than scouring the wiki. We just had a little meeting of the minds regarding a dropped axe/saw/whatever being totally covered by a cellar door model, making it impossible to pick up via right click. Someone suggested making a second axe and shift-right clicking to pick it up near the cellar door. A hotkey to pick up the nearest item on the ground was brought up.

I think it's well within reason to just lock realm chat behind a 1k LP skill that clearly states realm chat is not "within the lore" of the game and moderated by realm leaders. That way people need to opt in and don't immediately have a ton of super basic questions in chat (though it hasn't been an issue yet)
