Mammoth armor buff

They may be strong but they are not rare. Trolls are rare.

So if rarity is what determines if it needs to be stronger then it should be better than steel armor. Steel is way easier to get than the materials for mammoth armor.

Great solution, but then after 1-2 months of new world mammoth armor becomes useless again?
I don't even think mammoth armor is better than cutthroat armor since you can raise q of cutthroat so even early game mammoth will be last choice.
Mammoths are one of the hardest, if not the hardest, normal spawn to kill in the game without cheesing it. The armor from it should be better than troll armor or Atleast on par. The troll helmet has 6/10 armor with stat bonuses while the steel helm has 9/6 armor with an agility debuff. Level 1-4 trolls are easier to take down than any mammoths. Other than hq bones and hide mammoths are pointless to hunt atm even though they are one of the strongest animals, doesn't make sense to me.

I think you meant to say "Mammoth armor is meant to be early game, like a stone axe." but your toxic humor got in the way.
Im not entirely sure how you are comparing a stone axe and mammoth early game? You can get a stone axe in the first 5 minutes of spawning, a mammoth however... without some exploits you wouldnt be able to get with a freshly spawned char.

I think it would be pretty doable to kill a mammoth with a couple fresh spawn alts. Trolls are far less accessible, and even if you can find them they aren't vulnerable to the same buggy cliff mechanics. Mammoth armor looks great for early game, no need to buff it, although i do miss hard leather spiraling for ctcs being an alternative to plate in late game. Maybe buff wax/hard leather spiraling somehow to keep it on par with the ridiculous anvils.

Making steel is a paint though and I know a lot of people will never make it.
This armor can easily be for casuals. Mammoths may be strong but they aren't that hard especially if you gather all your hermit friends.
