I like the idea of books being a compilation of a character's knowledge, so that relearning all the materials/combat moves doesn't have to be such an annoyance.

Yes, totally. Let them act as large material accounts/combat instructions, and just let us write in them!

Please fix the writing interface too. It's insanely cumbersome and annoying to use right now. Just make it a sheet, with line-break functionality like Notepad. Books should have arrows on either side of the interface, to allow you to turn the pages. I'd be fine with re-adding Inkweed, making quills out of a feather and some ink, and having that as a requirement, would make books a little more special and satisfying to make.

Just please fix the interface, then add books, so i can finally make journals!

Books should be added with a rework of writing in general


Ie parchments being more than one single line of text, closer to a word processor
