And you made all of those at once on the first day you played this world, right? Perspective, please. I can see the complaint if raiders destroyed everything or took some months off and lost it all to decay, and thus were literally rebuilding everything, but then how many trees for that cabin? how many trees to rebuild the palisade? Maybe the board cost of cupboards could be decreased a couple for a bit of bone glue?

Fuck no! Are you tripping?

Perspective please. The game should cater for the average player before the no-lifer.

hell you don't even need it to make good cupboards.

cupboards use to to be just cuts of wood with slots so they puzzle together then added with shelves and 2 half doors that you would push to one side or the other.

Glue does not make sense unless you wanna make some fancy thing, but then you should just go the extra mile and just add in varnish, nails, hinge and glue.

I was about to "explore" this. We could have cupboards using bone glue or something else, but we should have a credo that remove the glue on the recipe. The credo would be something like "Craftsman" credo and i would like that it could make 2 - 3 crafts cheaper.

no-lifers have been an ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE since the day i started playing in world 7. so, what game have you been playing? the average player tends to get kicked out of villages for inactivity.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Glue is awful. If you want to nerf cupboards just make them immobile when storing.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Add some more glue types and then add it as a requirement for cupboard. (Glue from plants and such, maybe slime as glue)`

Or then add new, bigger cupboard that requires glue!

MagicManICT wrote:I wouldn't complain if the tech level of cupboards were moved up by a level in some way. I'm not sure I'd want it to be glue (without additional changes), though. As long as it wasn't metal needed, it's just a bit more time and material. It wouldn't stop groups from spamming them, though. Best storage is best. Devs would have to make the cost stupid to get people to stop spamming them.

Couple alternate thoughts: Bone Glue Could be cheaper. Bone glue is easy to get and make (if a bit tedious with cauldron use early game). Just murder flocks of chickens. Problem with that is you have to live relatively near some chicken spawning lands, and there are huge swaths of the current map that don't see this. Chasing squirrels and rabbits and such for bones is effort early game. So... make bone glue cheaper, make it a fluid, and increase the amount everything else needs which cupboards need a small amount. Make the recipe process faster so cooking a single bone at a time is practical (kind of like the wine press).

Thank you for actually contributing to the thread.
I do agree that bone glue could be a little cheaper. Hide glue might be that way of accomplishing it.
