Add a new tool "broom" and add ability to survey area that allows you to quickly remove(sweep) all vines in the survey area.

Those things that let you run faster when traveling over them? No not that telephone-lines of roadsigns that let you teleport across the map without any decay of their own, but actual paved roads.

I don't disagree. Feel free to suggest improvements.

How about.... a type of rock salt or something, that can "applied" to pavement to prevent it from getting vines? That way we can still have paved roads and claims will likely not even bother.
Or maybe if a paved tile hasn't been loaded in a while, then it starts to grow vines?

A way to solve this would be to use the ideas presented on the last replies to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=61143

Basically make it so that when a character walk over a paved tile it has a chance to reset the tile "decay" to 0, making overused paths more resistent to vines.

I'm basically trying to save those actual paved roads in the wilderness. As for OP's specific case, you should get your path vclaimed.

This is a decent idea, any way to make road maintenance less tedious would be good.

better yet, add a new hearth magic. repel nature: destroys all vines within 30x30 of character
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

silly me, yes I shall rethink my silly ways and make it easy for you and your friends to destroy what I have built. So sorry for the inconvenience

You're right. Devs should definitely fix this by making the space between pclaims more reasonable... like 25 or 50 tiles when not joined by an overall village claim.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

bob dole wouldnt mind this. You can pclaim as much as u like on a vclaim, but 25-50 tiles on a pclaim with no vclaim.

So sorry other people can't enjoy different parts of the game not approved by you. I am sure you are one of those people decked out in your cape with a design on it. bitch'n hat to go with your cape. Wonder how does playing dress up make it any different then making the village look stylish.

Because hats and capes don't abuse game mechanics. There's no reason you can't banner your whole village, besides choosing to abuse mechanics and be unraidable. It's hard to feel sympathy for your plight of having to occasionally remove some vines
