That's the grand-dad argument: 'we always did it this way'.

We should concentrate on the question if it actually makes sense to stick to it or if there might be something better to go for.

Even if grand-dad, is it wrong? They could add something of strenght of mammoth, that is aggresive like a bear, but not much of changes below, something to always stay afraid of if seen. Bears always were this line where if You know You can hunt those with efficiency, You crossed some milestone.

I dunno... wolfs might make stuff interesting. Or Harambe such rare as mammoth, almost same strenght but highly aggresive?

fast travel or not fast travel? that is the question

remove fast travel and you may gain some local variety, but you'll lose the "capitals" of the world, currently CF

there's a good chance without fast travel people would turtle in, get bored and population would drop faster

unless theres a new mechanism that enforce local markets as pre-requisite to a global one, but this is probably too complicated for Haven due to bots and alts

There's also a good chance that the opposit happens and the game retains them better as it gets more fun.

YMMV on which side of the view you stand, the only real way to find out would be to actually try it.

LMAO. I wonder where you keep getting all of this. W8 had the teleportation AND huge lands which made factions more centred to their own regions. It did not make the game more interesting and fun.

Maybe try to read what others wrote before trying to insult them, else you'll just keep displaing yourself as being pathetic (like in this case).

Or possibly come up with rational arguments, which currently seems to be quite difficult for you.

AntiBlitz wrote:i think you are quite on the dot when creating these statements, of course the events that unfold in the game are unpredictable, so Jorbtar cant truly influence them, and for all we know, next week CF could fall and everything you said becomes null and void, just as Aurora's economy. Christ, i was quite rich with Aurora's currency, and when it fell, i was holding nothing more then silver bars.

I can certainly agree that the roads make the world feel easily traveled, however again, this is due to the length of the world. Look at the founding of America's west. They rucked it, pulled wagons, finally they moved en masse on easy rail cars. Only due in part to time and necessity, same as this world and CF.

Remember we are an eternal alpha, so what works this time, may not next. I highly doubt you will see the metal spiraling events next world, or the fep issues, etc. They are obvious issues and will be addressed, else we will repeat worlds, and that just isnt fun, nor does it teach us what works and doesnt.

And yes, i still believe proper noob crushers need to be a thing. Even if they dont want whimsical fantasy creatures roaming the world. Would still be neat to have those creatures that are similar to world bosses, or mini boss creatures. Even static ones with treasure hoards or something. I believe it creates lore to the game to have these things, even if they cant be accessed for months due to their power, it gives people something tough to strive towards. Next world, beaver and bat dungeons will provide this. Of course i hope we will see more added before the year is out.

dont worry about overtyped, he is a bit dull....

Well, the static gold count compared to quality increase are still the same. The problem is that the items you earn as a noob, (Pearls, Metals, Rareties etc..) can be exchanged for higher and higher qualities of gear/utilities each day and the PVE-content is not designed to handle those qualities. I agree with you though, that it's hard to make challenges for veteran players without ruining what is Haven and trying to fit it in lore wise.

Mining for gold is probably the worst thing a noob could do to earn money.
let's not talk about someone more advanced.

why would I bother to point them out ?
when it's quite obvious you have no idea what you're talking about , in this case , hnh economy.

It has been done , anyway , for most of them.

PvP exists because people are assholes and one has to defend themselves from such assholes. Otherwise this is simply a 3D form of Farmville. Nothing says we can't get along other than any two random people are as likely to fight as be friendly.
