that's cute. I don't ever remember when I was starving in haven. In legacy maybe I had times when I was low, but it wasn't impossible. but obviously, food did not come itself to my mouth.
I'm not afraid of getting killed by wild animals. They will just KO me.
Quite. And here I supply new people on gauzes and stuff because they get K.Oed twice or three times by a bear and they are close to dying. True those are not so developed characters, but ain't pro, ain't that easy. Also, You would be surprised how many noobs are being smashed by animals (especially adders) before amber / purus pasta usage.
The only thing I'm really particularly afraid of are other hearthings (this is fine/good, no change necessary here imo.)
Well, once wildlife stops being a problem, other humanoids being to be more and more of a problem.
And resources necessary for building anything are too easy to get.
I vote for trees to be only inside dungeons, empty lands, empty wastelands... The Cult of Níðhöggr would be happy.
Just existing in the world is .... not very hard to do. It should be more challenging. Starvation should always be just around the corner if one finds oneself in a bad situation. Enough food to stay at normal function should be more of a sacrifice to give to someone hungry.
Yeah because world should be one big laggy thundra, with anything else, but death at each step. For real, eating is a core mechanic and You're like "it's not challenging to survive from lack of food". Really?
ETA: Of course in a sandbox game there are limitless interesting, fun things to do; that's not the part I'm discussing here but I do want to acknowledge that part. There are plenty of things in-game that aren't too easy, imo, but the things I mentioned in this post I feel are too easy.
You clearly try to find some hardship but I'm afraid, You're doing it in wrong place.
