So you agree best items need troll parts?
You say best item in game has troll part in recipe then say this best item in game you are suggesting doesn't need troll parts in recipe.
Giving mixed messages here I want to understand you.
Another best item in the game is grand TROLL helm. I see a pattern here of strong items needing parts of strongest creature.
Thats why I suggested it.

and all of those have weaker alternatives. this is one of a kind. like a scythe. do you want scythes to need troll parts? how about smithing hammers? or fishing rods? or swords?

you havnt proved shit, i gave no mixed messages your pulling that out of your ass.

your argument was "most troll parts do nothing" that doesnt mean this staff NEEDS troll parts. it already requires a wild dream to make. thats good enough.

Let me clear my argument up for you I didn't mean to confuse you.
I am saying how this effect is so good it should need a troll piece. Troll pieces not having enough uses is just to support that.
I would love to see stronger alternatives of the tools you listed. Just a matter of balance.
Anyway this is just the materials not the item itself I don't know why the suggestion of different materials rubs you the wrong way so much.

because it doesnt fit. and you havnt explained HOW this staff is so overpowered you say "its obvious" well it sure as hell isnt to me. dreamcatchers respawn so quickly and you can click them repeatedly to quickly harvest two dreams and once your mouse is in the right position, you dont even have to move that. just clickclickclick. clickclickclick. clickclickclick. real fast. the staff idea was to remove some clicking.

the mental image i have for this thing is like a dreamcatcher on a stick.

You typed it out yourself dude. Mass harvesting is op. Again I am not against the staff but the cost.

Meh... they implemented mass harvesting for crops. Why not do it for this?

I feel like everyone is misunderstanding here. I explicitly said many times I am not against the idea of the effect of the tool.
This is the 3rd time and I hope last.

No, I'm not misunderstanding. I am clearly pointing out that it should be done, and this staff shouldn't be the way it is done. I like the staff as another lore item to go along with the wand, and maybe find a different use... like a way to eat up troll bones for curios.

This is confusing right after someone else says I don't want the staff to be added because its op.

But now that I got what you meant I think there is added value in having another level of difficulty(crafting the staff) before you unlock a powerful mechanic.
It would add more to the pool of high cost recipes which I don't think there are enough of.
We would get new goals and added value for more unused items.

the wild dream was supposed to be the difficult item to acquire for this staff. what if the cost were raised to 5 wild dreams?
