while u made planned suicide u need to have alts with skills (druid, vandal, miner) to not lose alot LP for that after each death.
best option = 3 ver\sub accounts (3 credo branches: miner, hunter, farmer) to not watch sandglass 50% of gameplay, have feasting bonus.

Scripts helps to manage 3 windows at same time.
craft/work, transmitting - scripted (2 acc), quests/combat - manually

alt are neccesary in atm gameMechanics (scouting, crimes, offline item keep, solo feasting, routine/botting)

The thing is, there are solo players and team players.

There were not much solo players who had only 1 character they played with (this is mostly for beginners only or for LARPERs)
Most of those just always have at least 2, up to 4 characters.

Team players tend to have "less" alts just because if You have a trusted party of some kind there's account sharing.
Shared account with cook, shared account with farmer (or two) and etc., leaving only warriors/hunters or more "personalized" characters left, unless they find someone dedicated.

The thing is it's reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hard not to have alt. The game almost "wants" You to have at least 1 alt. Credo and stuff promotes having that one char if You suicide it over and over but still...


Unless You make with many aspects of the game looks like credo or make some kind of verification (money won't work tbh), You won't make game the less alt meta.

That may or may not be so, but even if it is, it is a separate thing.

That fact that it is the vision for this game to be an RPG rather than an RTS, quite simply.

I do believe games like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights are RPG ;)

If You have a perma-death combined with crafting, where warriors and crafters are separate beings, it will always be a little "RTS" how You call it amongs top players or rather I should say, top factions.

The categorization of things is there to help us separate and understand a continuum, when we talk about a specific thing there is no need to generalize.
So my question still stands.
If you want to prevent people from making many characters then why do you not restrict the accounts to one char ? and also forbid the creation of a second account with the same ip ¦]
Put some effort to be more of a pain in the a$$ to create and play alts ;)

edit : you could also remove that thing to spawn a newb in your base :P :mrgreen:

2nd edit: I am being a smartass I know, skip that... alts though is a big subject, may make people play safer and/or have a reason to keep playing when their main/ other alt gets killed by a titan for no reason, right ? It is more of the aspects of the game that lead to that, otherwise people would not choose to make alts in the first place.

Yeah because people don't multi account already because they can turn on 2 clients with 2 characters instead of 1, because You can't have 2 characters log in from the same account at same time.

Also many people can change IP on the whim so yeah xD.

Basically saying "Put some effort to be more of a pain in the a$$ to create and play alts ;)" is like saying "fudge new players and stuff, because older players abuse it!" because literally ANYTHING You do to accounts, hits the wrong people ;3

When do you close the Client Loftar? That's the real question .... they will just cry for a while and then forget it, and after that the game will be better for everyone.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.
