In what way does adding non-interactive content like this improve the game?

also didn't jorb said something on stream about dragons that will have to get some kind of bribe to not destroy land?

Can you not kill ridge by drop dirt to level lands? Or this is suggesting for legacy Haven?

You could also get rid of the beast by waiting for it to walk away.
Of course, more fun way would be that the beast would not go away, and you would just have to permanently avoid some places.
