Check out feral hogs in Texas.

I know that Haven isn't the most historically or geologically accurate games, but adding kangaroos is a bit of a stretch.

It's literally open season on hogs here year-round. You can even hunt them from a helicopter. It's fucking metal. Pretty much as long as you let the hunting commission know you can get away with almost anything when it comes to hogs.
A few months back they herded a bunch of hogs down into a riverbed where a bunch of guys are waiting on a bridge with rifles. They killed about a hundred fifty I think.

I've seen videos of people "hunting" them with a minigun mounted on a jeep. Though from what I understand they virtually all have trichinosis so they're inedible? I'm guessing if they were good eating they wouldn't be as plentiful.

I've eaten kangaroo, it's really tough but doesn't taste bad. But yeah they often have worms and stuff so you have to be really careful.

And as for hunting them, they are so plentiful and breed so quickly it would be impossible to affect them. People literally get paid to do nothing but hunt them and there still hasn't been any decrease in their numbers.

Sweet. A nutsack coinpurse. I think some famous historical figure did that to one of their enemies long ago.

In other news the joey now has fur and has started tentatively sampling the same foods the mother eats without even leaving the pouch...

Pig hunting is a bit of a sport here year round. Every season is open season. Most vet pig hunters use dogs. Usually three. They whistle each one in one at a time to harry the pig while the other two dogs recover. When the pig drops from exghaustion they go in with a knife to finish it.

Sometimes a boar will get one on the dogs real bad.

Oh, and if you were wondering why they both look so pissed off with those accusing eyes... They made a real point of showing me that they were eating the burr medic and how delicious they found it. You can see a patch of it near her tail. I'd been ripping it out of the campsite lawn. They weren't impressed at all. Actually the alpha came right onto the lawn as soon as I turned the lights on in the morning. They never usually come so close.

Guess what he was doing... Yep, making a real point of eating the burr medic and glaring at me.

I just sipped my morning coffee, no fucks given. Nobody wants that shit in their feet, stuck to their clothes etc.

Interestingly the campsite is on one of the areas of poorer soil. The burr medic isn't anywhere else in the orchard. Burr medic is a nitrogen fixing plant, that means it improves poor soil (in laymens terms). It's almost as though they brought it here on purpose... And they say animals are stupid.

Maybe I'm giving them more credit than they deserve...
