We'll see. I won't hold my breath.

And I'm not sure we'll see those within the next six to eight months. This client optimization is taking a lot longer than I expected (but then that's how hard optimization can be, too).

Or just boat and the ability to drop it over cliffs.

I like teleportation, but the world is a lot bigger without it and that as its own appeal.

I have put object controlled objects down as the reason for the next reset. Would not be surprised if they did a short world after the client rewrite because they have a lot of balance stuff ready but in need of testing (if I read between the lines correctly). Object controlled objects is a pretty game changing mechanic and probably deserves its own reset to implement.

Much as I dislike the travel quests I dislike instant travel more because it makes the map less dynamic. It's also way too easy to troll the waypoints. Real roads is a big deal to me personally.

Teleportation definately has a place in larger worlds.

Would be nice to use a rope or such to drag a boat accross a cliff.

Just need to put a couple axels on a rowboat and make it an early amphibious vehicle. Faster than carrying it, but not as fast as you'd move leaving it behind... overall hopefully faster than finding next body of water and building another boat.

A boat is able to hold a raft and can be lifted while on a horse or said raft, massively reducing travel time through undiscovered parts of the map. With a q300 horse you won't have to watch pony power...

I'm never been concerned with pony power post 180Q horses. The problem lies in satiation or whatever the second bar is. Each nomad quests was ending in my horse being killed somewhere half way, since even with full pony power, the second bar reaches 0% and well. Duh.

But the raft-boat-horse combo, I'll have to test it, thanks.

Sounds like it's running out of food. Maybe don't use speed 4 the whole time?

I'm using only 2 and 3, depending if I have to run from wild live or not. There's not much difference anyway

I like the present system, but I wouldn't mind the introduction of moving quest givers in addition to the fixed ones.

I suppose I was doing my best to suggest something that made questing stay questy, instead of 'teleport to every quest giver on my list'.

Perhaps something to make that process less viable?
