Would be comparable to ore stockpiles having been changed from 70 to 75 for 3 smelters even.

You are aware that this is indeed a very typical response, in that it is my standard response to all stockpile related requests, and a bit of a running joke, right?

Player makes logical argument, developer ignores. Asking to put an extra 10 boards into a stockpile is definitely crossing a line, and frankly we should ban the OP of this post for suggesting such a heinous thing.

You can always make a "logical argument" for why any stockpile size should be extended to some, for some reason numerologically relevant higher number, but, hey if it's the numerology that is the argument, can't we just as well reduce the number of boards? I suspect OP would disagree with that, so somehow I have to doubt that the numerology really matters that much.

This is simply a request to increase the stockpile size. I am not saying that it is a bad idea, or that it shouldn't be done, but I am saying that there is a slippery slope to this type of request.

I honestly was referring to the amount of space you already save by using the existing board stockpile, since it has such a large inventory requirement, in terms of game balance

Bots, mostly. "Building Quality" resources would no longer be any sort of constraint. Need to build a great hall? Sweet, we've got 50000 boards stockpiled and 100000 blocks already and 200000 stone, no worries. Infinite stockpiles would definitely be a step in the wrong direction.
