I think the bigger issue is some of the "spam messages" that have caused the same type of server lag we've seen here, such as someone making a bot to quickly shove through a few hundred commands to the server in a second or two. Put a timer on that shit and people won't lag the server out all the time, and anyone repeatedly abusing the server gets their account banned. A good script writer can play nice with the server if they want to.
