So let me get this straight - you lose health when you are submerged, you lose even more health when you swim while submerged, and you eventually have to resurface? Why would you even use this? The people attacking you would simply wait until you resurface or die, it seems more effective to just run away.

Perhaps a variant of this idea involving making a snorkel from reeds and allowing players to stay in water indefinitely or very long but at a cost of displaying snorkel top over water would be more acceptable for pvpers.

In this version a person can hide in a patch of reeds and the chase can pick all reeds around. Picking the one turned into snorkel would reveal the hearthling hidden under water.
On the other hand a group can camp someone's base hiding in reeds and attack when players leave safety of walls.

i personally dont like any idea that hides you or makes you go invisible and this idea is pretty useless since asphyxiation does hhp damage thats a risky fucking move to use youd prob die if they end up catching you after using it.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

It's not useless.
It depends if you want to use it or not. I didn't force you to think of it.

If you're low on hp, then don't use the "dumbest skill I've ever heard".
It's not even in implementation, yet you whine like it had already ruined the game.

But I sincerely thank you for pointing some cons about this idea, your contribution to the idea is not degrading.

I'm thinking of a new base attribute that modifies stamina.
Give me more ideas pls.

new credo "gill yourself"

to obtain must log a certain amount of underwater time

takes the sting outta diving underwater

with it only stam loss

with out credo bigger stam loss and a little health loss (noob divers tend to panic more)

idk kinda random

this would become an op must have credo for fighters since stamina loss is almost non existent in water now with credos

I think this makes lots of sense now that we have oceans and the pearl diver credo. People should be able to dive to hide or dive for pearls/other deep sea goodies.

Swimming underwater should exist but for a totally different reason.

- There should be some sort of clam type forageable that is only seen as bubbles on surface, so you dive under to dig and drain stamina for a sec. There could be a few different underwater type forageables that require this.

- Underwater cave dungeon entrances. :o

- Lose a midge swarm or wild bees
