Then, as previously, would you be able to be summoned from anywhere? Dead on arrival to prevent teleportation? Then what are the small mechanical tweaks you propose to prevent summoning blocking alts?

Maybe a timer on summoning? Make it take 10 minutes or whatever between summoning someone and them appearing. This could also give people who were summoned while online a chance to go to their hearth and try to defend themselves. Criminal acts could maybe be disabled for people who did not have hearth fires.

It is happening at 1:36:15 or so and devs mention that claim shields will be gone in their entirety. They also describe what other changes to siege system they plan to make at the moment, which imho can be source of entirely another pages of criticism and discussions.

You got me, I didn't have the attention span to sit through the whole stream. Honestly though I do kindof prefer shields as an alternative to legacy siege, if only the many abuses around them could be fixed. Also even with no shields, removing unclaimed walls would still be an improvement I think.

Mmm, might work. Though I still have a feeling that I am missing some way to cheese this system.
Additionally, if hearthfires would become a point of weakness and one wouldn't be able to move it while outlawed then it could lead to hearthvaults becoming a thing again. So, for the group of say 5 outlaws you would have not to siege their single village, but 5 separate palisaded houses nearby. And as time shown usually no one can be bothered to do it. Well, your ideas does increase the incentive to raid hearthfires, but I am afraid that it would not be significant enough.
