Psst, jorb, here is a handy cheat to prevent wounded animal's retreat: when kritter starts escaping, switch to peace. It ends combat interaction. Then aggro an animal again while it is still not too far. Kritter becomes hostile and returns into fight.

Actually i believe 30 RL people without any training could kill bear and most of them will eventually die ofc. For this game it's ok - BUT we need to make this alt spawning harder - limit accounts or whatever.. Zergrush - alt's everywhere(even alts for harvest wax) this is ridiculous.

1. Find a cave or other structure that cannot be destroyed.
2. Aggro any beast
3. Give 1-2 punches, then enter cave, and regain openings
4. Repeat until it flee

the problem is that i dont see a way to limit this stuff with out hurting gameplay.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

And another dirty secret
Seems like animal's pathfinding can't handle long ridges. So, make a target chase your hunter, cross some long cliff (30+ tiles each side), wait until animal stucks on the other side. Easy target. Then block it from behind with your assistant if you like

@KitsuneG I don't believe freshly born naked people are properly trained to do that

That's why temporary time limit and disabling/limitations for this or that for maximum a week (longer for mammoths) I see the best option.

The ways i can imagine to kill animals on day one with no stats are:

1. Bring the animal to somewhere there is a lot of shallow water so i can use my boat to block its path when its retreating.
The procedure goes like: bring to big shallows, shoot with bow, chase with boat and attack it with combat moves, boat back into deep water when it aggros again and repeat this until its dead.

2. Bring animal to shore. Surround it with alts and then just shoot it and attack it until its dead. the alts completely surround it so it cannot run away.

3. if theres no water bring it to a really long cliff where it cannot path around to get you then get an alt to surround it with liftable stones and then kill it over the wall (you need atleast some ua for this and another person to attack it with you). Im not sure if feeling animals can break stones though. Thats atleast how you hunted mammoths early game this world.

4. Aggroing a lot of animals so they block the retreating path of the first animal, so pretty much the 1st one i typed except theres no need for you to use your boat to block its path since its not going anywhere.

Make the items from higher level monsters require advanced industry to process. This allows people to cheese whatever they want however they want, but the loot itself won't be useful until they have the proper industry set up which could be time gated like many things already are.
