Nonsense. There are plenty of successful hermits and small groups.

By luck of not having anyone happen to bash your claim in an 8 hour period or assault you randomly as you explore

I enjoy early game the most. Not this world though, this is the first time for me that I'm actually bored during early game. Hnh was always grindy but, imo, it was interesting and fun. Now it's just tedious and boring. So many nerfs, roads are useless, tables are useless, everything I do seems so unrewarding now, it feels like devs' main thought was "how do we make player's life as miserable as possible".

One does not need to be in a group to learn to program bots.

Been there, done that... still haven't quit the game in a world because of it... it usually comes down to needing something else to do (or actual responsibilities), and because I have to nuke all the cattle cause they're going to starve anyway, going "fuck the world" and quit.

Medicine is really fun in early world:

I wonder if that wound will effectively be permanent, it's already been treated but with something without effect...

Gauze does heal, I've used it to heal a cruel incision but it always showed 0% and is very slow.

yeah i'm unsure what the %'s on gauze represent, but it's definitely doing its job. I've gauzed a blade kiss that was ~15 and naturally healing about 1 point every 8 hours and while gauzed it'd healed about 1 point an hour.
