Credo perks

Postby terechgracz » Sat Feb 09, 2019 5:14 pm

Currently credos give bonuses to skills as permanent gain, just like I'd level them using LP or feping. I think better idea would be giving them as + bonus such like gild. Because now, the later you do credo the better it does to you. For example, you could do 4/5 farmer credo, wait untill you have 300+ farming and then finish that credo, and you gain +1,6 mln in form of lp, compare that to doing that at 15 farming getting only 200k. And think about early game, you can finish forager quest gaining +10 to epxloration, then you have to pay much more for the gainzz. IMO: Gildlike bonuses are clearer, less exploitable and better option than what currently is.

Ehhh, in the grand scheme of things its not really that big of a thing that needs min-maximizing, or atleast in the way you're describing.

Sure for example you're getting big gains if you use it later, but 10 exploration is usually a lot more valuable earlier on (like in the 40s+ range) since it will do more to reveal more things.

LP in the early game is also generally going to be more valueable than LP in the late game, when you have access to better curios.

I was thinking this myself, a lot of my group completed their forager questlines quite early on but I personally have no incentive to complete it, the exploration would be much better to utilise later on down the line as you say and raising my perc would just increase my feast requirement way above my other stats.

A permanent green buff but keeping the costs the same would cut out that need to save the quests till later on and utilise the credo as it should be used, an early game buff for newer characters to see more foragables.

Isn't the counter to this how long you have to wait in order to actually get the benefits? You're also not working on credos further in.

That said, I would prefer it be a + bonus just because it's really annoying to have a stat boosted FEP cost wise when it feels like it should be a bonus.

It also makes more sense to have it work that way with characters inheritting their ancestors credo

i assumed they worked as a buff when i started w11, if id known they incase base I could have pumped exploration before finishing to save myself a ton of LP. then i made sure so keep my perc 10 lower than other stats before i completed the 2nd level (ocd for efficiency).

so +1

however if they do this maybe they might need to be tuned down a little, i dunno ive barely complete 1 credo in this game period.

Pretty much same situation for me as well.

I agree with OP, this should be a +Bonus and not a raw stat increase.

Exactly. Yeah, sure, wait with your farmer credo to save you some LP. Prolonging your potter clay or whatnot in the process... And keep in mind that half a million LP now and half a million LP in a month are two completely different things.
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.
