Don't assume yourself unique in that.

a camp fire does indeed help with keeping them at bay.

Really depends on a lot of factors (wind quite often being much more of a factor than fire). There are areas where it's bad enough so you have to be so close to the fire that it's borderline uncomfortable but your back is just covered in mosquitos.

In other words - yes, it sort of helps. But it doesn't make them go away.

You are right. In-game mosquitoes just need to go away, no matter how that is accomplished.

This ... with my old agers eyes i even can't see them well ... if there wasn't the blood spill ... 20 Hp in 2 days to midgets ... no fun
