in the context of the game it's wasteful not to skin them. also kinda weird not to gut them.
in the context of reality most stuff i saw on the internet being prepped for spitroast was like, a skinned lamb or goat or like a quarter of beef or a pig with skin on, most lamb and goat recipes included some kind of spice rub. idk what people are doing out there as far as spitroasting largeish game.
