+1 but only if Squirrel Tails are no longer considered hides. Otherwise they'd make crafting hide-based recipes trivially easy.

Something about the idea of being able to make forager's brooches in the first 20 minutes of the game rubs me the wrong way.

After the update where nine tails use dreams on their recipe it's not a bad curio anymore. It's expensive, but not bad.

I would expand that the "It's a bad curio" argument doesn't really hold water in this case, given that dried squirrel tails have other meaningful uses.

what imaginary update is this? im looking at it right now and its still just 9 squirel tails and 1 string, and it still makes a nigh worthless curio with 20 MW, 242LP/h and a 31 hour study time. meenwhile you can still build mirkwoods en masse for virtually nothing, and only 6MW @329LP/h. ninetails are still absolutely worthless. if i have to spend 9 hide and a string on it, it should be far better than shit i can whip together out of a log and some guts.
