lmao i'll find myself walking through the lush green plains that i always settle only to be molested by gangs of belligerent mosquitos.

if you're content with midges being a pest beyond their intended swampy domicile, then at least add west nile virus into the game so my hearthling's suffering will finally end

Repellent Oil or some kind of cream may work also dissolve when steped into water or swamp.

This ...

They are the worst addition to the game and seem to be there the second I step outside or try to do anything which involves being in one spot ... think they are utterly pointless tbh ... except maybe in swamps.

Yeah. Everytime I go out farming, THAT CAN'T BE DONE INDOORS, I came back with somewhere of 30 midgets bites and I have no way of dealing with that, while this render me impossible for some real hunting, because not only of HP loss, but also if I even try to come near bees... allergy puts me out for long enough. (and some more midgets bites comes in)

Like I expected to be protected in deep forest from them or like maybe 3HHP bite, but not damn 30 each time

I dont have any problems with them, I think they are realistic in a forest environment and a nice little addition.

Your ideas are the sole reason to ignore your opinion at this matter.
Keep midges in swamps.

I seriously don't get why people don't like them.
They do like 2 hhp wound and are generally quite harmless.
Maybe a bit annoying, but that just adds to the immersion.

And that talk about them being only specific to swamps...
We have enough things in swamp-specific category already (infected sores, leeches...)
Have you ever even been to a forest?

Not everyone is a champ like Henri Pellonpää. ;) While ooopps you can't beat them ingame ...

HHP loss to midges sums up ... especially if you're an old ager like me who is also having a wonderfull macula degeneration going on ... so i need massive blood spill to recognize tiny midges are at me ... ooops tooo late ... weird enough even a mountain wildgoat attacking and pushing me to fall down a cliff didn't make as much damage as midges did in 2 days ...

This is just another proof that devs dont play the game even a lil bit to get the real taste of hnh.

Midges are obviously meant to annoy you, and they serve that purpose perfectly.

this
maybe the damage is ok and it is not a bigger issue (thought I like to have no wounds, and don't want to dance just because some midge is around)
but their existence is just annoying, even if they don't damage me they aren't a pleasant sight

yeah I see no other purpose for them other than that outside of swamps, and on swamps it can be avoided easily with a horse and not afking
so I guess that this is their exact official purpose now, right?
