In all honesty how would this make the game more fun?

It does not have to be permanent.
Maybe not chop your leg or fingers completely off.
But it will be a big wound!

"An Axe-ident" -> You've managed to axe yourself in the leg, making movement difficult, but thankfully its made you take more care.
-5 AGI, Curable With Gauze.

"Axen Free" - Walk Max Speed, Buff effect granting extra blocks per log for its duration. (Only runs for a minute or so after getting the wound)


"Sawn" -> Well now you've done it, you've managed to run the saw across your hand and open a wound. Thankfully it wasn't deep.

"Once Bitten" -> Buff effect granting extra boards per log for its duration. (Only runs for a minute or so after getting the wound)

Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

I'd take a step back with the new wounds and consider just making them vanilla types or something along those lines. Just raw hhp damage and that's it.

Because frankly I'm fed up with all those hhp wounds that give you -stats for one.

lose your fingers and get the bad grip injury then try to chop a tree and you let your axe go and it flies and hits a village mate.
