I'm against them not decaying at all. They should vanish at some point, but that should take a long while.

It's the one thing in the game that shouldn't decay... ever.

i mean, if it meats my big hammer, sure, but that's intentional removal.

Good news! They vanish every RL year or so when the world resets!

Joking aside, I agree with Granger. Everything should decay eventually. Runestones should just take a very long time. What would be far cooler than having permanent rune stones would be the possibility to dig them up. Archeological digs when?

Messages written in stone should not decay, unless intentionally destroyed agreed... to argue they should decay because decay is just non-sensical and it's basically Haven cultural herritage so even if this world lasts 3 real life years it would be cool to be able to find messages from early world.

Also at the end of a world it would be fun to see a text file listing every runestone text that was present during the world end.

Yeah i vote no decay for runestones. I rather enjoy putting short stories on them in runic letters for someone to translate. i will stop doing that if they just decay away

On World 9 someone wrote out about half of the Unibomber's Manifesto next to someone's base. Took something close to 16 runestones. I'd prefer if that didn't sit around forever.

HnH is advertised like everything a player does changes the game world in a permanent way. Permanent.
How about at least one thing, that can always be moved if it's in the way, that is easy to even destroy by players, could really be permanent? One little thing? A runestone?
I vote for them to never decay. No matter how silly is the text, when it survives everything else, it has a flavor of past times that adds to the game, with 0 effort from the game designers. I'd like to keep this flavor in the game.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

Also to expand upon this I think it would be cool when inspecting a runestone it tells you the ingame day number it was written.

Yeah, and IF it becomes problem (too many runestones everywhere), they can just turn up the decay a little.
