3x3 is way too much, but 3x1 sounds more fair to me.
No need for a 2k tile farm to be annoyed by farming. Farming currently isn't fun at all. It's something that can't be ignored, and that has become very tedious. Being able to harvest at a faster rate would help a little bit.
Btw it's fun to see who everyone is pretending like nobody uses bots, or that you only need a 10x10 field to have everything you need.
I live in a 6 people village, and I can assure you farming is boring as hell, even with small fields. You need tons of wheat and barley for baking, tons of hemp and flax for strings and cloths, as many poppy as you can to have a decent chance to get pods for first aid, and a bunch of other crops for recipes and a few other things. Plus whatever u can get for animal feed, because if your cook wants to do cheese, he'll need lots of animals reproducing and lots of food to keep them alive.
It's a task with no excitement, no real choices, no wandering around, no nothing.
A miner has to find the ores, sometimes gets a gem, sometimes fights..
A forager has to explore, can choose where to go and what to pick, find new places and meet people..
Likewise a hunter goes around, fights, and like the forager has a certain progression making his job a bit less monotonous (we all know the feeling of finally hunting your first bear, or your first q150 animal, and so on...)
The farmer has nothing. Quality drops at random, you don't get to farm new things going forward, you don't get to go around, or to drop something nice from your crops. No wonder it's one of the main tasks they use bots for. I would too if I knew how.
So yeah, give us a 3x1 scythe, and/or a 1x1 fast 1handed tool to farm with, so we can at least hold a bucket
