I assume this sketchbook hat will be able to be stolen unlike real cosmetic hat? Or do you suggest we can store this sketchbook hat in fires and keep it between world like real cosmetic hat? Clearly once sketchbook is applied, it will no longer give any bonus.

Considering how the sketchbook works, where everything it makes is a realworld object that can be destroyed or stolen (that I'm aware of), I think it would be fair for these cosmetic items to be lootable and not hearthfire stored.

And yes, purely cosmetic. No stat bonuses, going in the cosmetic slot.

This seem fine to me. I suppose only consideration to make is if it will cut into hats sale too much. Sketchbook is only $2.50USD whereas cheapest hat is $5.00USD. Then again, these sketchbook hats will need to be purchase every world, and can be lost or stolen. Maybe this is fine tradeoff anyway.

It could also cost more than 1 sketchbook if there were price concerns I'm sure.

It could, yes, but this seem less elegant to me. There is also argument that it is better to have it remain cheap as kind of gateway item. I think this is why many company will offer one time ''new user package'' which will offer useful item at discounted rate. Idea is that first sale is hardest one to make.

-1 if its gonna work exactly like storeshop hats
+1 if after using a sketchbook on a hat, you get one-time copy of it, if you put it on and take it off, it crumbles to dust and you need to ask/make second one AND MAKE IT SO YOU CAN EASLY TELL A STORE HAT FROM SKETCHED HAT, inventory, that is.

My suggestion is not to clone store hats, I think that would devalue them and the unspoken promise that hats sold stay that way.

There is also argument that it is better to have it remain cheap as kind of gateway item.

That argument directly contradicts microtransaction monetization strategies that are considered the most lucrative to my knowledge. Make everything cheaper isn't necessarily best for the devs long run, even if it would make more consumers happy. Ultimately I want them making enough money to keep being comfortable living off the game.

Would love to have an "appearance" tab that includes clothes as a costume, colouring options and so on. Of course weapons and armor should not be able to go into that tab
