These days even description of the Foraging skill says you need to increase Perception and Exploration.

I'm trying to idiot proof things. You could also take a hot minute and wiki what the different skills do too. Trivial these days, but y'know noobies often don't do that or thoroughly read the wiki.

Nothing about this suggestion makes raising EXP less useful either I don't think.

but what is some newbiew though - i will tottaly be a carpenter !
and he got exporation: 1, carpentry: 9

and he now start to see some carpentry-based foragebles

or maybe, it will count to your perc-exp, but only half effective
