Then what is the point of silver for the ferryman and how would the game make the distinction of being ko'd by a player or an animal?

That's the way to go for rage characters, which are probably the only ones who have it in the first place.

You can steal the silver for the ferryman from the body before it drowns. :| Who even uses that ring currently? or has ever used? It should be removed from the game, so many ideas where people complain that some shitty silver ring would be useless if the idea would be implemented. But it already is useless.

And the second point:
If player destroys the boat and one who is in the boat does not have rage. Then he will not drown.
If an animal destroys the boat, then one who is in the boat will drown.

That's because there's no KO state with drowning now you just asphyxiate and then die

better make ppl not drown to death in all situations:

if someone is drowned, he is wirpooled into random location and lost all his items in water item pool
(and his hf is now on this shore)

it will make you do a little journey back to home. Could take you some time, but it is possible

And when you reach your base you can build a Wrecking Ball since your keys are now in the beach trash loot pool...

I'm not convinced about the details of this particular idea.
