no cap, permadeath, pvp on demand, doesn't seem possible this mix

repeat the events enough and you'll have only the winner faction attending

pvp will always be scarce because majority of population is not interested in haven pvp, it's been like this for at least 2 worlds already... majority meet their pvp needs in other games with local servers, low ping, level playing field and instant replayability

with current pvp/death system this is not very good

if everyone can participate in pvp, say if we will loose only 5-10% per death, then it could be a thing

Right now the risk just clearly outweighs the reward, there is very little reward to pvp. So why would people want to pvp if you dont get anything for it?

Therefore- create events which provide rewards for pvping and it wont be scarce, just as the meteor proves

Also, saying theres no point working on one aspect of the game because you can simply go play other games instead is not a very solid argument.

There is literally nothing stopping you other than your own cowardice. If you risk nothing why should you be rewarded?

Don't project your own viewpoint onto rest of the population. Meteor is already "a thing" and it works fine, this thread is merely suggesting expanding upon a successful proven implementation.

I still risk my equipment, wounds.

But this gives freedom for many players.

I project not only my viewpoint - we have small village, we can't compete with realms, but with current system we can't even try, because first try we loose 50% of character progression.

This system punish us for even trying. First error and we loose everything.

This is not PvP system, but rather WaS (wolfs and sheeps) where top factions just find alone sheeps in woods

I cant argue with that. However you dont necessarily need to buy rage. In the fight for meteor there were many non-rage fighters on HH side though its arguable how useful they were but I'd say thats more about the current combat system. Personally Id like to see numbers count for more and it be less about titans one shotting everyone.

I mean the reality is small time hermits obviously cant compete with big no-lifing villages, no matter in any system or game. Even if it was some sort of competitive PvE event youd wouldnt stand a chance vs ultra tryhards lol.

but yeah if you just want participation trophy, there is always the option of showing up without rage, it is perfectly viable. I've said it many times but the meteor thing is a proven fun event for all including the little people.

everyone will be beaten 1 by 1, can't help friend

only way to win tryhards is: 5 hermits vs 1 tryhard

never happen without rage
