No, only using fresh alts to locate them.
People complaining about it constantly has died down a lot too.

Since the users of this game are usually not stupid they're able to learn from the repeated display of Devs don't care about this (thus their problems).
I'm not sure I've seen a dev reply why this isn't done somehow.

See answer above for a hint.

i'm thinking it has more to do with giving away inner workings of the system. If it's something we're going to figure out or has direct impact on how we interact with each other, jorb usually gives us answers or some hints. He and loftar have been very tight-lipped on this matter.

So, basically, they are struggling and failing to fix this issue, but can't tell us anything because it might give away exploitable pseudorandoms and/or lazy workarounds. Huh. Whaddya know.

No, I think jorb and/or loftar believe the system is working perfectly, and that if players can't solve their issues in an open world game with full on PvP, then the players are doing something wrong.

Then again, I'll grant you this point. Remember legacy beehives? Look how long it took for someone to figure that the actual bug there and for someone willing to try to black box the mechanic to figure it out. Halfway through world 6, wasn't it, or was it world 7? And how long did we have the tanning tub 'fix' because it was working well enough (despite nearly everyone thinking it was an exploit, and not a fix to a bug)?

Well, if we're being honest, I choose to believe this is just a complicated and time-consuming issue, and devs want to focus on render rewrite and new server lags while feeding us smallish stuff, before taking on another big one.
But who am I to miss a good rabble-rabble opportunity

You may be right, Hasta. It just seems that every time it come up, particularly in streams, jorb shrugs it off like it's all fine and dandy.
