IMHO the server shouldn't shift-pull out educts (like dough in ovens or wrought in steel crucibles) from converters. But I vaguely remember the devs stating that they like it as it is, you may draw your own conclusion about their reasoning (mine isn't compatible with the forum rules so I'll keep it to myself).
