By all means be against the idea but I think this is pretty much over-reacting to it tbh.
I'm not suggesting (and from my interpretation, neither was boshaw) that we add disease and madness or that we need to spend hours a day taking care of them ... simply that the animals may not breed as efficiently and the quality of their produce may fall when stuffed into minute pens surrounded by their herds carcasses.

... talking of which, I would love to be able to build runs around rabbit and chicken hutches so that they could go in and out as they please, obviously then they would still eat from the hutch regardless and if they were in this enclosure they would be immune from despawning. It would just be nice to see them.
